Tenner's Ten is back for week twenty-four! Every Monday we are bringing you ten new songs we have had on repeat for the week. This week's on repeats include new tracks from Mura Masa, RIIKI REID, MELODOWNZ, easy life featuring Kevin Abstract, and MUNA - plus one of our favourite songs of the year from dexter.
Mura Masa - 'blessing me'
(ft. Pa Salieu & Skillibeng)
Mura Masa’s latest tune is a dance floor groover, featuring Pa Saleiu and Skillibeng, further adding to the excitement around his forthcoming album ‘Demon Time’. Featuring the previously released ‘2gether’ and ‘bbycakes’ with Lil Uzi Vert, PinkPantheress and Shygirl - the album is also set to feature the likes of slowthai, Channel Tres, BAYLI and Isabella Lovestory to name a few.
RIIKI REID - 'Say You Want Me'
RIIKI REID is back in full swing with her latest EP ‘Newer Oxygen’. Debuting the project at a special pop-up performance in St Kevin’s Arcade, it is clear that the Wellington-based artist’s rise to stardom has only just begun. We love everything about this project, we highly recommend diving into the world of RIIKI REID!
easy life - 'DEAR MISS HOLLOWAY'
(ft. Kevin Abstract)
easy life continue their album rollout with ‘DEAR MISS HOLLOWAY’ joining forces with alt-rap icon Kevin Abstract. The new track, along with the previously released groover ‘BEESWAX’ will be on easy life’s new album, ‘Maybe In Another Life’.
dexter - 'Pressure'
Introducing dexter, the South-West London-based independent artist finding a special blend of electronic and indie music. She has released ‘Pressure’, and it has very quickly become one of our favourite songs of the year.
MELODOWNZ - 'Slow Jamz'
Avondale’s MELODOWNZ returns in style with this slick R&B-style track, teasing his forthcoming debut album. On the track, he says “I just went with the feeling and started writing about a shawty. This is one of those midnight slow-burners cruising through the city joints”
Armani White - 'BILLIE EILISH.'
Armani White’s bass-booming new single ‘BILLIE EILISH.’ has been everywhere, including running laps in our head all week.
Boyish - 'Legs'
The New York-based indie rock duo Boyish have released their latest EP, ‘My Friend Mica’, a love letter to their friends who have become family after all moving into the same apartment complex at the top of the 2020 lockdown. The EP is something really special, and one of our favourite gems from the project is ‘Legs’, which explores the idea of how you’ll never be as young as you were today.
MUNA - 'Home By Now'
The Los Angeles-based golden girl-band return with ‘Home By Now’, getting us giddy leading up to the release of their debut album, ‘MUNA’. ‘Home By Now’ dives into the pain of not knowing if you left a relationship you were meant to be in - one third of the band Katie Gavin said, 'It's a dance song with brutal lyrics and an emo bridge…’ The album will also feature previously released ‘Silk Chiffon’ with Phoebe Bridgers.
Aidan Fine - 'Something New'
Aidan Fine is back with his first new music of 2022, the springy ‘Something New’ - a track that explores the idea of listening to the voice in your head that says you could be happier with something better within a relationship.
Joey Valence & Brae - 'Hooligang'
Sheeesh, this song goes hard. Diving into the duo’s catalogue of boom-bap-punk style of hip-hop was very, very fun.
